This uniquely styled classic Marquis
convertible is a rare find! Less than 1,300 of these rolled off the assembly
line in 1970. She is in very good condition for a driver, and everything works
properly - including the power top.
The interior is in great shape with
plenty of seating for up to six adults, along with plenty of trunk space. The
50/50 split front seat features split arm rests and has power adjust. The ivory
seats are in like-new condition with no wear, scuffs, or damage. The black
carpet is in good shape and the dash is crack free. All the glass is crack and
damage free. The factory-look AM/FM stereo works properly as do all the
controls. The white power top raises and lowers with ease, and is deterioration
free with a single patched small hole on one side.
The exterior is in good condition.
The body is clean and straight with smooth paint. The Azure blue paint shines
brilliantly in the sun and maintains is rich luster at night; there are a couple
of minor paint flaws that prevent the paint work from being called show-quality.
The front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition with no scrapes, pitting,
or fading. The other bright work is in good condition but has flaws. The
undercarriage, pans, and frame are solid but have spots with visible surface
rust.
Mechanically, this classic is solid.
She is equipped with a strong-running 429CID V-8 engine producing 320HP and is
paired with the optional SelectShift 3-speed automatic transmission. Front
power disc brakes ensure ample stopping power while power assisted steering
provides plenty of agility for this full-sized classic car.
