1953 Chevrolet BelAir Resto-Rod

Don’t miss this opportunity. In her correct factory colors, perfect body and updated running gear, this ’53 is professionally updated and restored to today’s highest standards. This car is a work of love – literally!

The seller invested over $90,000 (we have all the documentation) between two of the nation’s premiere restoration shops in order to have the car of his wife’s dreams. Ah, love knows no bounds. This couple has now set eyes on their next classic, so this magnificent and recently finished complete makeover is available for a fraction of the dollars invested.

Although she appears stock, this ’53 BelAir has been updated with a new 350 CID/290 HP V8 with a 4-bbl Holley 570 CFM. The transmission is a turbo 350 3-speed automatic coupled to a 9 inch Ford Torino 3.25:1 rear end.  The front boasts a Heidt’s IFS Deluxe tubular suspension with Heidt’s rack and pinion steering. For excellent and predictable stopping power you’ll find an 11” GM rotor and brake upgrade, coupled with a Master Power manual disc/drum master cylinder and 11” rear drum brakes.

The value is in the details.  On request we can literally send you pages upon pages of details showing the quality of this ’53; from stainless steel throttle springs to braided lines, jet coated manifolds and powder coated components. Other pages detail the new gaskets, seals, glass, re-chroming and polishing of the stainless. Then there’s the custom engineered 12 volt electrical system with 140 amp alternator, electric fan, wipers, heater and more. The updated radio works well.

The coachwork is world class. The finish is second to none. Every panel has been carefully aligned and fitted to today’s highest standards. The body’s chrome and stainless steel are virtually flawless. Seals, gaskets, bushings, felts are all new. Observe the perfectly appointed upholstery, the headliner, the gleaming dash with perfect chrome and stainless steel. Everything works – even the cigarette lighter (great for cruising with a GPS these days).

  1. There is a $180 documentation fee for the preparation & delivery of all the necessary sales paperwork.

  2. A deposit of 10% of the purchase price, or the deposit listed in the ad (whichever is less), is due within 24 hours of agreeing to purchase the vehicle. We accept Visa or MasterCard, and PayPal for vehicle deposits (up to 10% of the purchase price).

  3. The full balance is due within three (3) business days of agreeing to purchase the vehicle.

  4. If financing, please make sure that your financial institution will finance this vehicle before bidding.

  5. We require deposit of and verification of bank funds before we will release the vehicle to you.

  6. The buyer is responsible for the prompt pickup or shipping of the vehicle. Failure to pick up the vehicle within 15 days will result in storage fees and/or vehicle resale. We will be happy to arrange the shipping on your behalf.

  7. If you are not sure about something.  PLEASE ASK!  Do not assume anything.
