1963 Jaguar XKE

Only the best! Our Heritage Certified 96 pt+ Series I roadster has less than 100 miles since its complete disassembly and total restoration.

This Jaguar was owned by the same owner since 1979 until we acquired her, post restoration. She has been properly cared for mechanically all along and this was her second cosmetic restoration - done in 2005 just to keep the car looking top notch! The  methodical, professional restoration used only the car's original, NOS or genuine Jaguar parts. Receipts and pictures don't tell the full story but you can't find this level of restoration for under $100,000. The result is not a speck less than stunning, correct and concours!

Restoration began with the car's disassembly. Then all attention was focused on the Jag's drive train. The car's original engine was totally overhauled and reassembled to factory tolerances. Note the engine's spectacular detail, correct surfaces, polished heads, porcelainized manifolds and more. Listen to our video with your eyes closed and capture the motor's call to life, distinctive sound and balanced operation across its power curve - that's pure Jag, oozing delight through its dual stainless steel exhaust.

Likewise, the transmission was gutted, rebuilt, sealed and detailed for show. Do note the car's transmission comes, as new, with the factory-spec. non-syncro 1st gear.

The final drive unit was disassembled and rebuilt next. New shocks, springs, bushings and hardware were mated to the rear drive and body during re-installation. The drive line was trued and balanced, and provided new u-joints.

The entire front suspension was rebuilt and re-installed like the rear-end, including new shocks and steering rack. The fuel system was refurbished and installed using steel lines, so was the car's braking system. All its braking components are new, with metals lines for the very best in function, control and quality. The remaining underside is showroom clean and exceptionally detailed, including the typically blacked-out forward floor pans. Everything rides on new Dunlop SP40 205 70/R15 black wall radials mounted on new, correct knock off wire wheels.

The electrical system sports a complete NOS harness, new starter, generator, relays, horns, switches, gauges and light assemblies. Everything is to original factory spec and in working order. Our Jag has no radio, as it arrived new at dealerships. We can offer many options if you desire to listen to something other than the smooth sounds of her engine.

Top side, the body was completely disassembled and the undamaged chassis was put into a jig. Everything was taken down to bare metal and made flawless; then primed, sealed and painted using the very best base coat-clear coat finishes. There were no rust issues - even along the car's sealed rocker assemblies. Care was given to preserve the body and chassis stamping numbers which accurately correspond to the car's trim tag.

Then the entire body was wet sanded, inspected and buffed to its current mirrored finish.

All original chrome was refinished and damaged trim pieces were replaced with NOS or genuine Jag parts. All seals and gaskets are NOS and perfect. The original Triplex glass remains and is virtually new.

The steering wheel was refinished by a master wood worker and is perfect to the eye and to the touch…simply amazing! The dash, pad and panels are all correct and direct from the original supplier, Connolly LTD., UK. Correct, new Honduras seat foam and Connolly leather seating surfaces grace this Jag. Original spec. Wilton wool carpeting was used along with a correct mohair top and tonneau cover. (Two non-original spec snaps were added to keep the typical tonneau bulge from forming along the middle of the cover's back edge. These can be removed without leaving any tell-tale marks.)

A view inside the trunk says it all…because it shows the prior owner's absolute care for this Jag; evidenced by the car's original tools, pouch, well used knock-off hammer, trim , component and assembly details - just as new!

To follow our offerings is to know that we like our Jags and only offer superb examples of these fine cars. Good ones are hard to find. Exceptional ones are very hard to find. You will not find another like this one.
