1965 Ford Mustang Fastback GT

There are few cars more satisfying to drive than a first generation Mustang 2+2, unless its one with a factory 4-speed like ours.

This is a very nicely refreshed quality Stang that won’t disappoint you at all.  She is a southern car with solid pans, torque boxes, fresh suspension, great rust-free car powered by a 289/225HP V8 with a 4-speed manual.

Notice the restoration upgrades including the detailed engine with extra goodies and a tower brace for better handling.  The engine is very strong and roars to life without hesitation, runs cool and responds instantly.  The radiator, hoses, belts, wires are all fine.  The transmission is tight and shifts up and down well with no play, chatter or resistance.  It connects to a 3.00:1 rear end.  The entire drive train is in great shape and mounted to a rock solid front and rear frame assemblies that are tied to an equally solid pan.  The car rides on new Kumho Ecsta Supras.   Braking is provided by self adjusting front disc and rear drum brakes.  

This “A”code GT optioned 2+2 Stang has been gone through in the past couple of years, with just a few new miles since being rebuilt.  Regardless, our mechanics went through her again to assure us that we have an upstanding collector car to offer you.  Nothing has been overlooked or skimped on.  We’d drive her anywhere at a moment’s notice.

The interior is factory correct and fresh as new.  The wood wheel provides great looks and a sure grip around the turns or when the upgraded speakers peak!  All the while the Rally pack provides the driver with critical information.  Everything works – lights, instruments, horn, wipers and heater – every accessory. 

Look at the GT-style rear quarter windows that replaced vents to provide exceptional visibility and great looks.  The trunk is also well detailed with a full set of tools and a spare.  As the pictures show, under the trunk mat is as clean as the mat itself.

Under, over and side to side, this Stang does it all – and does it well!  You won’t be disappointed with this investment.  Take care of her and watch her value grow.

  4. If financing, please make sure that your financial institution will finance this vehicle before bidding.

  5. We require deposit of and verification of bank funds before we will release the vehicle to you.

  6. The buyer is responsible for the prompt pickup or shipping of the vehicle. Failure to pick up the vehicle within 15 days will result in storage fees and/or vehicle resale. We will be happy to arrange the shipping on your behalf.
