1966 Ford Mustang Fastback

We found this 2+2 in Georgia. She looked sharp and performed well as we out ran big rain drops to get her inside just in time. Back inside, a full inspection confirmed the car's essentials - undercarriage, torque boxes, pan, rebuilt engine and transmission had been properly restored and show nicely. Please note these components have less than 500 miles since rebuilt and are in “break-in” mode. The body and interior were nicely restored as well. The car's body has good magnetic adhesion all around where expected.

As nice as she was, our standards meant this Stang needed a lot more work. In our minds this car was 80% complete and an excellent car to improve further. We spent time making sure the carburetor, electrical system, suspension, fuel system, and braking system are all functioning properly.

Once the “dirty” work was complete we focused on the interior and body. Everything that had been done had been done well, but time and money had not been invested in critical details. We took care of those areas too making this classic Mustang stand out and glisten!

VIN and data plate factoids with corresponding codes/ numbers:

  • Our Stang fastback (63A) was built on May 4, 1966 (04E).

  • She was built at Ford's Metuchen, NJ (T)Assembly plant.

  • Her original (and current) engine was a 289CID/200HP V-8 (“C”code).

  • Her original (and current) transmission was a C-6 3-speed automatic (4).

  • The final axle ration then and now is 3.50:1, non-posi (5).

  • The original and current exterior color is black (A).

  • The original and current trim is red (25).

  • Our Stang was originally shipped to the Jacksonville, FL Sales Zone (25) -always a southern car!

  • Finally, our Stang was the 104,950th to be built in 1966.

    • An agreement to purchase a vehicle is made when the purchase price of the vehicle is agreed upon by both parties.  Upon this agreement:

    1. There is a $180 documentation fee for the preparation & delivery of all the necessary sales paperwork.

    2. A deposit of 10% of the purchase price, or the deposit listed in the ad (whichever is less), is due within 24 hours of agreeing to purchase the vehicle. We accept Visa or MasterCard, and PayPal for vehicle deposits (up to 10% of the purchase price).

    3. The full balance is due within three (3) business days of agreeing to purchase the vehicle.

    4. If financing, please make sure that your financial institution will finance this vehicle before bidding.

    5. We require deposit of and verification of bank funds before we will release the vehicle to you.

    6. The buyer is responsible for the prompt pickup or shipping of the vehicle. Failure to pick up the vehicle within 15 days will result in storage fees and/or vehicle resale. We will be happy to arrange the shipping on your behalf.
