1967 Chevrolet Chevelle

We're delighted to offer this authentic, correct, well optioned, just-refinished true '67 396 SS Chevelle. Wow! That's a lot but there's so much more….

The body was finished in December, 2009. The body has been expertly restored with straight, smooth surfaces and a base coat/clear coat mirror-like finish in the car's original Butternut. Body panels are original except for the lower rear quarters which have been carefully replaced. All chrome, stainless, seals, gaskets, bushings, factory optioned tinted glass and other trim are in excellent condition. While there is no perfect body or paint job, you won't find better work and results without spending a fortune for a car too perfect to drive and enjoy.

The undercarriage shows the car's southern roots and excellent care. The 4-wheel drum brakes are new and the power steering works perfectly. The exhaust is fine and the suspension, including link pins, springs, and shocks are new. The wiring harness and electrical system are as new too.

This car's engine and transmission stamps, castings and tags show them as built appropriately ahead of the car and are believed to be original. '67 engines and trannys did not carry corresponding VIN or production numbers, it is generally agreed they match the car - are original to the car - if built within three months before the car's production, as this car's power train indicates.

Regardless, our SS's 396 cid/325 hp V-8 and its automatic 3-speed automatic transmission were totally rebuilt earlier in 2009 (receipts available) and have less than 1000 miles on them since installation. Note how the engine bay is neatly and correctly detailed with attention given to the little things, like the correct tower hose clamps and the properly stapled inner well suspension shrouds.

The interior was the last to be completed and is in very good condition, with gleaming and correct surfaces. Note the console with working clock. All the gauges, radio, and equipment work properly.

This Chevelle SS is done right and is rarin' to go. Listen to that motor. Look at its ready stance and gleaming body. Consider how original and correctly detailed this SS is. Yet she's right-priced for mere mortals to own and enjoy. This is a rare package and great opportunity.

  3. The full balance is due within three (3) business days of agreeing to purchase the vehicle.

  4. If financing, please make sure that your financial institution will finance this vehicle before bidding.

  5. We require deposit of and verification of bank funds before we will release the vehicle to you.

  6. The buyer is responsible for the prompt pickup or shipping of the vehicle. Failure to pick up the vehicle within 15 days will result in storage fees and/or vehicle resale. We will be happy to arrange the shipping on your behalf.
